The global economic crisis has changed a lot in the banking system and the economic sphere, which resulted in changes in auto insurance. The Russian economy is recovering a bit from the crisis, which means that after it, car insurance will also return to normal. However, despite such rainbow changes, it is rather difficult to determine the insurance company that fully meets all the conditions of the bank. The question arises: how to choose the appropriate insurance company for all criteria? And how should one act in order to conclude a contract with the most favorable conditions for themselves?

First, it is necessary to pay attention to the reputation of the insurance company, because this indicator is one of the fundamental, determining whether you can trust it or not. Do not believe the advertising booklets, because most often they reflect only positive information about the company. You can read the information on specialized forums in the network, or ask friends. Judge objectively, because sometimes the clients of insurance companies themselves do not fulfill all the prescriptions, but in the end the insurer is blamed for everything.

Auto insurance is a service that represents a guarantee for the driver that even in the event of an accident, the cost of repairing a car will be at least partially compensated by the insurance company. In addition, auto insurance provides the car with reliable protection against theft, natural disasters, fire, vandalism and other troubles.

Many drivers, starting to work in a taxi, are faced with the need to insure the transport, which is used to transport passengers.

To begin with, the insurers themselves consider taxi auto insurance to be a losing trade, since the car is constantly in motion, and the risk of damage and an accident increases accordingly. In addition, it is often necessary to pay compensation to the injured party if the accident occurred due to the taxi driver’s fault. That is why taxi drivers have to insure their cars at a higher rate equal to 1.5k of the cost of the car. In addition, the amount of insurance is obtained more than with insurance of ordinary passenger transport.

If the taxi is insured in KASKA, as in European countries, it will have to pay the deductible amount. For private individuals engaged in passenger transport, such a payment may be too large.

In the event that the car is insured by a taxi service in charge of a whole taxi fleet, two schemes for calculating insurance rates are applied. First, the coefficient accrued for the fact that the car belongs to a legal entity is taken into account. Secondly, the calculation takes into account the fact that the transport will be used as a taxi.

According to the current OSAGO rules, cars that are used for commercial purposes (i.e. for profit) are insured using a higher ratio. If the passenger vehicle was used as a taxi, but there were no marks on it in the contract, the insurance company has the full right to refuse to pay the insurance indemnity.

In relation to each taxi car or economy taxi, the insurance company calculates an individual bonus, which is expressed in two forms. In the first case, the company-insurer draws up an insurance policy, which fit all the drivers authorized to drive a car. The coefficient is set for the worst case scenario. Drivers who are not included in the policy cannot receive insurance compensation. In the second case, the insurance states that an unlimited number of drivers can drive this vehicle that operates in a taxi. In this case, when calculating the insurance amount, the correction factors taken into account for the accident-free experience of the owner of a taxi car are taken into account, after which a multiplier is introduced for an unlimited number of drivers.

It is necessary to take into account that in case of auto insurance, taxis additionally take into account the increased responsibility of the driver of the vehicle for the life and health of passengers, as well as the risks associated with the carriage of passengers and cargo transportation.
